Dominion Energy
Dominion Energy is one of the largest American producers and transporters of energy. A Fortune 500 company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, Dominion serves more than seven million utility and retail customers in 16 states throughout the Eastern U.S.and the western Rockies.
In the midst of a series of acquisitions, including Questar Corporation in the Western US and SCANA corporation in the Carolinas, and a transformation of its power transmission infrastructure, Dominion Energy sought to modernize its brand strategy. Part of this strategic rebranding was a name change, from Dominion Resources to Dominion Energy, and a clean visual identity architecture that could accommodate new acquisitions and divisions.
The new trademark evolves out of the company’s visual tradition and provides continuity with the key elements of the established brand: a rising D, the color blue, and the concept of energy.
