Hearst Corporation’s media business is diverse and wide-ranging. We designed a bold new logotype and visual brand architecture that enables the company to identify its many divisions and products in a consistent,distinctive, and elegant manner. The identity was launched concurrently with the opening of the landmark Hearst Tower in New York City, designed by Foster & Partners.

The Hearst media conglomerate dates from the late 1800s, when magnate William Randolph Hearst (the model for Orson Welles’s Citizen Kane)began purchasing and creating an empire of newspapers and magazines.A classic “house of brands,” the Hearst ownership takes a dignified backseat to the famous titles such as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Town & Country, Men’s Health, Car and Driver, Good Housekeeping,and many more.
